What action?

Well, if you are in the home based business industry or network marketing industry, you probably be thinking, why you had not produce any results despite buying courses after courses, ebooks after ebooks and systems after systems. Well, all of these works. (if you buy from authority sites or leaders for network marketing industry).

But what it sadden me is that, most of the people who bought these courses, ebooks or systems are finding new information in which they could market their business. Apart from total newbies, most of them have basic knowledge to operate their business.

Just add action.

There is really no “magic bullet”. If there are, then all the fortune 500 or brick and mortar business owners would pay big buck for internet marketers or online agency that knows the “magic bullet”. No, it won’t work that way. How I wish there is a keyword tool that spits out profitable network marketing keyword that I could dominate.

But there isn’t one. So, go through the “new ebook” that you bought, read it and read it again.

You will bound to have new ideas and new perspective of the information contain inside. Use the information. Apply it. Simply just add action.

If you add action, fine tune it and don’t seem to get result from it, move on. Try other marketing methods that works for you. Some like paid advertising while some like free advertising. But all these are actions. Actions breed results. Results gives you your freedom.

So, friends, JUST ADD ACTION. Or better, action on it now!

I’m a Singaporean and recently this month, we have news coverage on election. Thus, different groups have emerge to say something about the elections across many mediums like, tv, online and offline. What they say impact the voter and the future of the country. Thus, every words, actions and promises counts.

Voters are not stupid anyway, they naturally will want to vote for a group that can bring to where the country can go and benefit the whole country men and women.

Now, what has this politics and network marketing have in common?

Well, as we know, in network marketing, one has to become a leader or someone that has the ability to lead a team. Thus, to become a network marketing leader, one has to know how to manage, build and lead a team. If you are a Singaporean, you probably will see and hear some positive and negative news on certain group and people while they are out there giving their speech.

What makes these people cast their negative against certain group of people? The answer is very clearly stated in some of the blog comments. And why some of them receive good comments? Well, the answer lies in the way how a leader handle the thing.

If you want to be a leader in your own right, you have to be fair, walk the talk and don’t BS a lot. Authenticity is all that counts. Being real is what your member want to see. Being yourself and walk the talk.

I’ve seen some leader whom talk to members “A” but talk to other member “B” the different thing. Not to mention, some even broke promises. This not only reflect badly on the leader themselves, the trust is broken as well. Once trust is broken, there is no way it can be mend back.

It’s almost the same as some blog comments about the Pre Election. Thus, if you think you are making such a mistake, reflect on what has gone wrong and how can you do it right. Being a leader is not difficult, is how you maintain, be authentic and touching the lives of others is difficult.

So go forth, leaders, for you choose to be a leader yourself that others want to follow.

In our network marketing industry, we yearn so much to be and to learn from network marketing leaders. Although leaders are not born but created, not many know how to become one successfully.

Network Marketing Leaders Blueprint

If you were to build a house, you would begin with a blueprint. This blueprint proves useful because it contains more than directions on how to build a house. It also describes the finished house.

So, what does this have to do with our industry leadership?

Few years back, I went to a seminar where the speaker ask the audience about characteristics of an ideal leader. I’ve jotted down in my small little note pad and it goes like this,

• A good listener
• Enthusiasm
• With passion
• Shows appreciation
• A visionary
• A role model
• Trustworthy
• Integrity
• Organized
• Domain knowledge
• Credibility
• Persuasive
• Charisma
• Team building
• Clarity of purpose
• Problem solver
• Attitude of service
• Lead by example
• Patience
• Understands followers
• Consistent
• Empowers other people
• Be truthful in all undertakings

From this comes, I gain some valuable insights

1) Notice what the list contains. All of these characteristics relate to the human side of leadership. That’s interesting because I often hear people minimize this side of leadership with terms like “soft” or “touchy feely.” Actually, applying these characteristics requires more strength than not.

2) Notice what the list excludes. Absent from this list (and all lists from other programs) are characteristics such as stern, mean, serious, short tempered, vindictive, tough, angry, harsh, punitive, controlling, violent, or ruthless. These characteristics are the refuge of those who lack the strength (or the skills) to apply the human side of leadership.

3) How about you? How would you rate yourself as a leader compared to the list of positive characteristics? If you were to survey the people who report to you, how would they describe your leadership? How would your follower rate you? Are you on the soft or  the hard side? Do you genuinely care for your followers? Or is it due to momentary gain that you start caring your followers?

Human sense are somewhat fine tune to accuracy when working with someone for a long time. They can sense if one is genuinely or not in all their undertaking. The leader can be consistent in producing his or her work but without genuine care, most will shun them.

So, which side are you on my dear Network Marketing Leaders?

From all the episodes he appeared in, he never let us down. With the power he possesses, he makes sure to be responsible in using it for the good of the people around him.

Leadership is not at all different from being superheroes.

Yes, you may not have super powers like Superman and Spiderman, but you have the authority to lead other people towards success. This is so much greater and stronger since it is a power that can be used by real people in this real world.

Hence, being a leader requires great sense of responsibility, the second quality a successful leader should attain.

The power to lead your people towards aiming your vision comes with responsibilities like making sure they are on the right direction, being aware of each and everyone’s tasks and mistakes, and putting them back on the right track when they get lost.

Who said it is easy to be a leader? Well, it is not…It comes with tons of responsibilities. True leaders are willing to accept them all.

There are instances where sometimes it makes us feel better to blame somebody or something else when something goes wrong in a task. However, this should not be practiced, especially by a good leader!

A leader should take full responsibility of a task - not just before he accepts to take it, but also after it has been accomplished. As much as he is responsible for his team’s success, he should also be responsible for any failure. He represents the whole team so whatever happens to it, he is the one responsible.

Making excuses and blaming something or someone else for failed jobs is not a quality of a good leader. What he should do, instead, is to accept the fact that something went wrong with the organization, even if it is not his fault. It is normal to make mistakes. In fact, mistakes are opportunities to learn something better. As a leader, he must ensure that the team members learn from these mistakes and that these errors will not be repeated next time.

You may not have full control over other people and are not expected to have full control over their actions, but you have full control of your own reactions.

Knowing what to do over unexpected and unpredictable situations will make you responsible, hence giving you the feeling of power.

In the same way few of us would choice a miserable person for a friend. Lets face it we all want someone who is going to be bubbly and a happy and positive.

A smile is usually returned
When someone smiles back at you it make you feel good inside. You have just made a short but very positive communication and possibly the first step in the process of getting to know or making friends with someone new.

When you are smiling you find whatever you are doing far easier. It releases stress, worry and tension that you may have built up throughout the day. Long term, developing the smiling habit will be one of the smartest things that you can do to improve most aspects of your life.

When you spend a lot in the company of someone who smiles a lot you will soon discover that their smile starts to wear off on you.

Internal defeat is a mindset.

Everyone failed before, including me. You will learn from mistakes. Treat the failure as a test and a learning progress where you can teach your organization of what to expect when they come across what you are experiencing now.

This will help you team to grow and your team members know that they have a good leader that they want to follow. And thus, their confidence and trust in you increase.

Did you learn to ride a bicycle when small? If you don’t you probably have hear some stories that when one start to learn, they will fall down. Not because they failed to cycle properly, they failed when learning a new skill.

During the process, there are plenty of falls along the way, and then the falling stops. It simply means they “get it”. They may tell you to focus in front and start balancing yourself.

So, don’t take your network marketing failures personally.

Put them behind you, learn from each one and never mentally quit before you start.

Fear

Fear is within you and me. We can’t eliminate them totally, even the most successful people have fear. However, fear is but only an illusion that created within us. Some fear is healthy while some are not. Those negative fear will slowly become more powerful that they can grow into a battalion and hit us on our weak spot.

However, if we really look deeper into these type of negative fear, it become apparent. It is not that “kind” of fear we really fear. It is that kind of fear that we afraid of when we succeed. As the saying goes, the more success we have, the more responsibility we have to shoulder. So, these people are fear not because they “fear”, they fear what will happen when they become somewhat successful in their own rights.

They did not plan for what will happen to them if they really become successful and when a dream crusher comes along their way, they will just hit them hard with one swift blow. Thus, that poor little guy/gal will never ever see their dream come true.

How do we conquer our fear and achieve success in network marketing?

We know that when we were small, we tend to dream of what we want to be when we grow up. However, this gradually changes when reach adulthood. No more we dream of becoming a doctor, a lawyer, buying nice houses for parents, becoming a teacher or whatever your dreams are. These dreams are being replaced by a stable job, stable paycheck and pray for the company won’t retrench you.

In order to get back our dreams, we need to change our belief system. This belief system is what we have during our childhood time. We fear of nothing. We just want to get to where we want to be. This is the kind of belief system that will shattered all negative thoughts and keep dream crusher at bay.

So what you going to do today after reading this is to learn to act with your intellect by exposing your true fears by either talking to your upline or closed ones, tell them really what are your fears are and the belief in your network marketing career, business or journey. Be grateful for what and where you are.

Even when you are at roadblock right now, think back on how you help others and you will begin to see all the good coming back to you. The moment you begin to accept what state you are in right now with gratitude, you are more better to judge and make the necessary changes that will help you in your life and business.

Find new activities that will stimulate you. These activities will bring you more knowledge and more energy. You will find yourself having unlimited possibilities everyday. You will also have different perspective in viewing things and have a better understanding of people which in our world right now lack.

Focus

This is a biggie. We come into network marketing to realize our dreams and goal. However, with distraction around us everyday, we are not really giving in our 100% focus to our desire. Despite our everyday worries, distractions or things that suck your spirit out, you must learn the correct way to focus

The more focus you give to your dreams and goal, it will create more energy for you to push onward and forward towards your goals.

As you started to shift your awareness to what is new and joyful you starts to expand.  You will become more attractive, your mind changes, your attraction to others move into overdrive. The results you get are much more faster than you have now and that’s how others can manifest faster than you do.

Wow. This title sure seem harsh. In fact it is not.

I was fortunately to surround myself with successful network marketers and had learn a lot from them in terms of business building, self development and team building. When I take a step back and see the big picture, I found many networkers are still running in circles.

The word that most of us hunger for. But what is the exact meaning behind?

Many of us want freedom, but most can’t define freedom. They want it so badly that they are searching for everyday, complaining everyday and even procrastinating everyday. They want more freedom but yet they are still finding one which in fact a simple switch of mindset will allow them to enter the realm of freedom.

Think about freedom.

Freedom is normally associated with financial. What if an extra$300 monthly will help your family or lifestyle? This is what average person want. But usually it is beyond that. And here why, with an extra $300 naturally will help pay off bills.

You will start living happily and healthier. This is contagious. You will also attract more people to you. Thus, increasing your overall social life and makes you a better person.
