Depending on the situation, you may want to follow up your prospect because they have either attend your business presentation or after you send them your marketing video. Either way, following up in network marketing is where the money lies. If you don’t, you will not be earning that type of money you want to earn.

With that said, below are some tips that will help you in your follow up process if you are struggling with it.

Tip 1 -Call them up

I’ve seen newbie who came into this industry with good intention of doing themselves good. However, they ask the wrong question. They will start asking those type of questions that allows the prospect to answer Yes or No. More often than not, the prospect will answer No – and that game over for you. So word the question in a way that will allow the prospect to talk freely.

Tip 2 – Sending them text message/sms

This is the technique that I seldom see people use. Mostly they either use phone or email. Sms or text messaging is the fastest way to get into your prospect heart without intruding their privacy. Using this method allows you to save time because you need to just type and send. However, this need to be carefully crafted as you want some response and added urgency.

Tip 3 – Email them

I place this the last not because they are not good is that it may lost its beauty. Why is that so? Everyday, we are bombarded by tons of email, our email may have get lose in the sea of our prospect inbox. If our email is being flagged as spam by our prospect, it will go into their spam box and lost forever.

So, now you know the 3 methods of following up that produce results. Just do it and stop thinking if this work or not.

“I have no money.”

“I have no time to do it.”

“I’m not cut out to do all these.”

“My spouse does not allow me to do these network stuff.”

There a saying in our industry – If one want it hard enough, they will find money or time to do it. But why does these objection keep coming up?

Answer: The problem/need/wants that you uncover are not their real intention.

There are many ways to get to their inner intentions like asking the RIGHT question. The way that you phrase that question is important too. Make it in such a way that you are not interrogating a criminal. Ask a question that makes them think real hard, like when they want to retire and how much do they plan to retire on (monthly). Help them to get there.

If they can’t, there is a big problem here.

The problem created by prospect themselves is much better than we create or let them see what we see. Thus, now they have a problem and they can see in their future that current situation can’t them there. This is the time you propose what ever solution you have and the prospect will willing to see.

After all, this is their problem and they want to solve it.

Well, seriously it is not – at least for them.

See, the reason why they want to take time to meet you up personally, they are interested in what you can offer or help them in one way or another. They are eager to join and time is right for them. But when you present the package or plan to them, most of them will say “It’s expensive. I don’t have the money.” But is it really expensive?

If you reside in Singapore, there a IT show called Sitex. It is the largest annual IT event held in Singapore. In this event, a wide range of IT products are on sale and more than 850,000 visitors are expected to turn up at the event.

In other words, its not how much or how expensive your network marketing company package or plan cost.

It is their (your prospect) priority.

It all boils down to whether they want it hard enough or not.

If they really want it hard enough to change their life and better their current situation, they will find the money to do it – no matter what. So, if you are out field doing prospecting and meet with such situations, ask your prospect “Is better your current situation a priority to you right now?”

You will know the answer and decide for yourself whether to spend more time with them or not.

Well well well, network marketing is really a big scam drama show. You see, almost everywhere you go and you ask a stranger, your friend or your relative, “Do you know what is network marketing?” You will get various answers. The most common answer that I get are:

- “O is it that Amway thing?”

- “O that is a scam!”

- “O yes I know, but it can’t earn you money. It is a scam, those on top earn.”

- “Ahh, yes I know, some friend of mine who went i get scam.”

In actual fact, network marketing is really a scam. Why is it so?

People do really get con and scam with some network marketing company. People do not really earn that kind of income they suppose to before they sign up. People hopping like a frog from one company to the next thinking that the next one will be better than their current one.

Now let’s dissect the above comments.

Be different here does not means that you need to reinvent the wheel. What you have to do is to step up and be responsible for it. Also, immersed yourself fully to be a student in this industry.

So, when you are fully immersed in this industry, your knowledge flows. You can talk, write and discuss freely about network marketing because experience teaches you. Your content naturally will be your thought process. This is what others network marketers are looking for.

They are looking for another leader to guide them or learn from.

So you will have the power to sway opinion and you can use your content, your knowledge to attract the people that you want in your team. Imagine that you have such knowledge, qualified leads that come knocking on your door will be more as compare to not having enough knowledge in the first place.

Well, why not look at this industry in a different perspective?

Put the negative thinking aside and process the information below to see for yourself if MLM or network marketing industry or business model is a viable one or not. So, let’s get started by looking at the picture below.

I believe that the above structure is what we are used to, right? Where you got only one CEO and followed by President, Vice President and so on and so forth till you reach the bottom of the pyramid where most of us are there.

So, have you think of how much does a CEO earns? Does he do all the work? I’m sure he or she does. As he or she need to steer to the company to the right directions to have profits. However, does your future feel secure? The CEO has the power to retrench anybody else below them. And can you over take your superior in order to climb the corporate ladder?

Well, the reality maybe harsh but the fact is, there is so much handful of position in the company to be filled. If they over filled certain position, it may not be profitable for the company right? But when economy is down, the company decides to retrench, the lower rung will probably will have to go first.

How About Network Marketing?

Network marketing is a pyramid structure too. Talk to any of the network marketers, ask them to draw out their compensation plan, you will notice that it is a pyramid. But if you do open your mind and look at how this business model works, you probably will be amazed.

So, do you need PHD, MBA or some prestigious Degree to get into network marketing? No. You can even be a boss running a profitable business. You can even be a school drop out to become one. In network marketing, we start equal at ground zero. And then we acquire the right skill set to move onwards and forward.

That where we as a network marketer will earn.

Isn’t it the above will earn a lot of money by recruiting others below them?

Well, I don’t deny that some compensation plans are design to be in that way. But legitimate companies are not. Most of them are based on sales volume and the beauty of network marketing is, you are in fact leveraging the team effort to become successful. If you think that this is not ethical or illegal, think again. Does your boss leverage on your time and effort to help him earn his income and freedom?

Well, but here in network marketing, each of us has an equal chance to earn, leverage and attained time freedom.

It is just matter of time and the right skill sets that you acquire along the way in your network marketing industry. So you probably be thinking, isn’t too good to be true? Well, I see it this way, network marketing is essentially a marketing business combine with word-of -mouth advertising (which so happen that we used it in our everyday lifes)

We recommend people to good food, movies and even gadget. But we didn’t get pay for. Network marketing does.

Yes, you hear me right. It is in the near future and not now, especially if you just join as a newbie or 3 months or so.

Now, this post may or may not blow up to a big issue. But we come to network marketing for various reasons. But one reason is for sure – to earn money. I’ve seen newbies without technical knowledge setting up their blog that eventually tires them out. See, let say, if you are a leader and just recruit or enroll a new member, won’t you want him or her to start it right correctly? To learn the profitable way of doing network marketing business? As most of us probably know this, people don’t care how much you know but how much you care for them.

And we know we are in people business, why not generate leads, pick up the phone and build relationship?

Everybody starts from clean sheet. So it is ok to say that you just started. Prospect will appreciate your honesty.

When you get the hang of what is going on in your present network marketing company, then maybe you can consider setting up a blog to be your central hub. By then, you probably not going to set up one because you know how to build a team without one.

So, do what it takes to make you money and not what it doesn’t .

See, there are these two person whom are best friends, Peter and Paul. Peter  invited Paul to his party bash and Peter being a network marketer is  excited because he know for a fact that he can meet a lot of people (but at the back of your mind, Peter treat them as prospect). So what Peter does is to wear very nice with suite and tie. He carry name cards and brochures.

When he reached, he walk over to Paul and Paul is delighted to see him. He then introduce Peter to his other friends and associates. But Peter is so thick skinned that he starts talking how great his network marketing company is, how great is his comp plan is and how wonderful is it the time to jump in now.

Guess what?

For the rest of the night, Peter was alone by himself. Even Paul leave him alone.

So what does this story tell you?

Be a professional network marketer. Build relationship with people. Get to know them. When they know about you and begin to like and trust you, then, only then are you able to share or expose your business to them. If one is being unprofessional, not only he will not earn in network marketing, he will also lose friends quicker than he or she can imagine.

You can get laser targeted leads on your blog. The reason why is that, if people are searching for you online and fill in a form on your blog, it means that these people know about you or like what you write and would like to connect with you to know more about you.

Facebook is a place where people connect. You can find quality leads on Facebook because they already know you and what you do. The key here is to find people on Facebook that you can talk to. In my experience, not many people will relate or even talk to you on Facebook. If both of you have the same interest, you will get along pretty well.

Classified Ads

There are many online classified ads website online. You can use these website to find target network marketing leads online. If your copy writing is good, you can almost get targeted leads. However, there are various variables you need to consider when using classified ads website. The traffic to the website, the type of category that is on the site and the words that you put in your ads.

If you can work on the above 3 consistently, I am sure you will run out of targeted network marketing leads for your business.

There is this story that I want to share with you today and why in our business you must take immediate action.

The Story

You see, there are 2 friends, Peter and Rob. Rob have join this particular network marketing company and he happily approach his friend, Peter. He is very professional in his approach throughout his presentation with Peter.

However, Peter say that network marketing is not for him. He want to concentrate on his job now. Thus, Rob, as a professional, leaves him alone.

Months pass, and one day, Rob receive a phone call from Peter. They chatted and Peter says “Rob, I join mlm and the company I’m with is XXXXXXX. Their product is awesome and I’ve been using them with effect.”

Rob say “o great, welcome to network marketing. How is it doing for you?”

Peter says “Yup doing it great and looking for partner and consumer to join in. I can tell them my story and there is a guy in his company have a lot of knowledge on this product.”

Rob says “ok, that great.”

And that about that.

So, the morale of this  story is that, speed counts in this industry. When you are in, get the word out to many people as possible and follow through.

Do not wait till one fine day, that your friend come approach you and tell you that he or she is in the other network marketing company – just like the Peter and Rob story.
