You probably have heard about reap what you sow. This is very true. You even probably hear the uplines, top producer or team say, you need to plant seeds. But what exactly are these seeds and how they are useful in your network marketing career?

Let’s us learn in detail.

First of all, doing network marketing is just like farming. A farmer will plant the seed, water it everyday and watch it grow till it bear fruits. It could take a month, six months or even a year to watch his seeds grow. Likewise in your network marketing career or business, you need to plant seeds and let it grow.

Many times, I’ve seen new networkers come in with so much excitement and want to fast track their business or career. This is however not wrong, but in the long run, it will tired most of them out because their expectation is wrong. Of course, you could build your team super fast and there are ways to do it but for most networker out there, you will be building what other networkers are doing.

Therefore, start planting your seeds daily. It can be exposing your business to 2 person a day, it can be telling your warm market that you are in network marketing or showing the plan to prospect.

All these are activities that will help bring your business forward daily. So the more seeds that you plant each day, it will eventually grow and when the time is ripe, these seeds will join your team.

Many times, new network marketers who came into network marketing industry found themselves tongue tied after they make their first contact with prospect online and sometimes offline. Why do this happen? It’s not because they do not know how to talk, it is they do not know how to continue the conversation that leads to an invite or a “do you want to be a distributor?”

See, there is no right or wrong here, it is simply a mindset shift that will make conversation more fun and rich.

Turn your focus to the prospect that you are talking with. Focus here means, understand and know them for who they are. And by doing so, you will get a lot of information out from them as to whether you can lead in with your product or opportunity.

Without proper understanding, you will never know what they want. As the saying goes, “do not sell what others people don’t want or need.” This is particularly true. Now let’s shift the focus back to yourself. Imagine that one salesman or whoever you know, sell or push you things that you don’t actually need or want, would you reject it?

See got the idea here right?

Once you get the hang of conversation of focusing or be interested in other human being as to what they do what they do, you will not only make more friends, learn more things and even have some referral along the way to build your network marketing business.

So what comes after “Hi, How Are You?”

Ahh, so what has prospecting and resume has in common?

I believe that we once had to send in our resume to job portals, companies or even some organization that helps us to match jobs. Do you still remember that there are times where you send in multiple resumes to apply for your dream job?

Do you still remember that you create accounts across job portals just to send in your resume in the hope your prospective employer will see it and interview you?

Now, what is going in there?

If you are still unclear of, let me tell you. You are planting seeds.

You see, you know that the more applications you send out, the more chances you will have to at least secure a place for interview. However, on the other hand, you might be thinking you need to secure a job in order to survive. This is survival instinct.

But what happens when you join your network marketing company?

I’ve seen most of the people forget this important yet crucial concept. We are told by our leaders, upline and team that we need to plant seeds yet most of them just decided enough is enough and quit. While some of them planted not enough seeds while some forget to plant seeds. You must not forget that you must exposed, share or promote your business to as many people as possible in order to at least get people to see your business opportunity. Just like, the way a desperate job seeker sending in multiple resume to many job portals.

Some think they only promote once, some twice. Some quit while there is no result.

Do you quit sending your resume if you did not get your job? No! You will keep on sending or even ask your friend for help. See, the key here is, are you really interested in doing your business as the same of looking for a job for survival?

If you are not, chances are you will just drop off from your network marketing business.

If you are not as hungry as you are when looking for a job, you will also die off from your network marketing business.

If you do not dig deep enough into your why of doing what you are doing, you will surely stop marketing and enrolling.

So what are you waiting for? Go dig deep into your why you want to sign up for your network marketing business. If your why does not make you feel motivated, tremble or even cry, your why is not strong enough for you to even start a network marketing business.

Do you want to send resume again at the age of 37 or want to enjoy your fruits of success in your network marketing business?

“I only want to share this super ninja juice to you.”

“I want to share this great business opportunity to you.”

“I am not selling you anything, I only here to share this opportunity to see if this fit you.”

Does the above look familiar?

Many times, people uses the word SHARE when they want to present you their business plan, opportunity or products but we are SELLING. Now, whether you like it or not, if you start talking about your plan, opportunity or products, you are selling. If you are interviewing someone and the person at the end of the table are telling you why you should recruit or hire him or her, they are selling to you. If you are in dating, you probably sell the best of you to your boyfriend or girlfriend.

So, everyday we sell.

We sell our plan, opportunity and products to the world by sharing to them. If you don’t sell and just share, do you think the money will just drop from the sky? I doubt so. If you go into sharing mode, you are indirectly selling why they should need your product or join your team. And this is very different in sharing the restaurant that you been to or places that you been to.

So, if you still think there is no selling in network marketing, you gotta wake up your idea and start getting used to it. Sharing in network marketing is selling – it is just another way of telling people that you need not to sell.

But how are you going to get good at selling by sharing?

You have to first get pass your internal obstacles that as a matter of fact you are selling someone something. If you cannot, it is very difficult to proceed on to the next step or even see success in your business.

Next, you have to constantly improve the way you share to sell. What words to use, your tonality, your posture and your knowledge. The better you improve in all these area, the better your results will be. The best way is to weave in some story telling elements in it. The better the story the better your results.

So if you still feeling uncomfortable in talking to people, chances are, you are not used to selling. As I had said above, you have to overcome that obstacles and go out to the world to do it. Only then, the universe will tell you your result and then you can improve from there.

Now, you probably know what is network marketing industry is all about.

What next?

Well, I understand where you are from, especially if you are new to this industry. I was like you before, new horn, not know where to go. I knew the opportunity that lies in network marketing (mlm) but I was pretty scare in jumping both feet in. Thus, I went searching and asking around is network marketing is for me or not and which team should I join?

I can tell you that network marketing is for anyone but not everybody can join or willing to join. They have their reasons and we must respect that. But what if we take out that equation, what’s left for you to success in network marketing singapore? That’s the important part.

Imagine this, if you join a team that does not commit your future, you are wasting your time. If you join a team that you feel that they are not actually helping their team member, you are wasting your time too. So how are you going to select a team that you feel that they really care for members and want you to success?

It is very easy but you have to work on your part. I’ll give you some hint/tips to get you get started when finding your own good network marketing singapore team. But as you can see here, I write, good instead of best. Why? It is because, every team has their own strength and weakness and most teams are good. You will need to use your own judgment when you decide to join because, this will make or break you success.

Finding Your Network Marketing Singapore Team

First thing first, when you are being approach a network marketer, look not into their compensation plan, company or product. Instead look into their training and support. Why? As a matter of fact, when the dust settles, each company will have their own unique selling proposition (USP). Thus, if the team gives you good training and support, you can rest assured that you can success in this team.

Secondly, ask question. You need to ask questions about the team, training and support. If you did not ask, you will never know. If you can ask them how they conduct their training. Whether is it online or offline. Can you learn online? It is better to be online as your future team member can leverage on technology to expand the organization. And that what we want in network marketing – passive income and time freedom.

Third, their training should be relevant and practical. Now, what I mean by this is, the member has gotten result from the training. It is very easy to know if the network marketer is telling truth or not if you ask these question.

So, as you can see from the above pointers, choosing a network marketing singapore team is not at all difficult. But if you choose the wrong one, it may cause you to lose a lot of time and fortune down the road. You may have approach by somebody else before and that why you are still reading till here to see if there any secret to pass to you.

Well, I had none for you as the above is enough for you to make an informed decision. However, if you want to know more or compare about my team training and support, I will be gladly assist you. You can always contact me by filling in the contact jeffrey chew form and I will get back to you.

Have you in your business help people or your customer to solve problems and give them solutions? And why does it really matters?

You may have heard about solution solving but have you really apply to your business? Have you ever think of why you want to get into business?

Of course, the money making is one portion of why people get into business. I’ve seen a lot of people, majority of them, that they put money making the priority of doing business. This is perfectly all right, but they lost focus on the most important aspect of doing business.

Look around your house. Look at the things you use and buy. These items or product that you bought comes from people doing business. But why you buy from them? Is it they are nice or does it help solve your problem?

For most of the time, we buy stuff to solve our problem or craving. Without a need, we won’t be buying stuff, make sense? So, if you look around all businesses, they are selling a solution to a problem.

I repeat, they are selling a solution to a problem.

No matter what business you are in, you are in fact selling a solution. So, if you are in network marketing like I am, what are you exactly selling? Is it a hope, a dream or freedom? Or is it something else? The reason why I bought network marketing up is that, when I talk to fellow networkers on either Facebook or locally, most of them could not answer what they are marketing.

And most of the time, they are running in circles, afraid of picking up phone or even talking to prospect whom have opt in to their primary business. It’s true. I do not know if it happens to you, but I’ve seen a lot of these are happening.

So, reflect on what kind of problem you are actually solving to help people life better. In this way, your life will be better as you have touch many people lives.

Mark Chew Discover Your Leadership Style Review - A local author whom wrote about leadership in Singaporean style. Easy to read, many to absorb and not your everyday leadership kind of book.

Recently, I was being invited by one of my friend to attend Mark Chew, the author of Discover Your Leadership Style, “Meet The Author” session.

After hearing his short presentation, I decided to buy his book to learn something out of leadership from him.

I have to confess that I did not read his book after 2 weeks and this post was written after I have done reading his book in one sitting. And I also have to confess that the author, Mark Chew did not pay me to write any review of his book.

Review of Mark Chew Discover Your Leadership Style

Mark’s book is easy to read and understand.

He inject a lot of his past experience in his army days and his working experience that I could fast adapt to. However, if you are not local, you may find it hard to relate to his army experience.

I’ve read a lot of leadership books in the past but none have even come close to Mark’s book.

In fact, the way he taught the truth of leadership is none other can compare. He really drill deep down to the core of leadership rather that touching the surface and telling you what to do. His book not only teaches you the fundamental of what to expect in a leader but also tell you how to groom the people around you to become one by using the 4F’s that he impart in his book and one of them is Fair.

In his book, I like for a fact that, for every ending chapter, he pose some questions for the reader to reflect upon. This is a very good exercise that you will tend to remember what has been taught in that present chapter before going to the next.

About 3/4 in his book, he quoted an example where he attended an overseas training with his guys. In this particular story, he successfully bring out a point that a Leader must be Fair and not using their authority to abuse someone to do their bidding.

In addition, Mark’s book is not the type of leadership book that you normally read. He layout each chapter in a very interesting way that I observe when I was reading through half way. It is very interesting this way as one will not get bored after reading a chapter full of useful information.

If you are asking me if Mark Chew, Discover Your Leadership Style is right for you, I can say that if you are a business owner, network marketing leader, students or manager in any organization, you will find his book useful, especially if you are a Singaporean like me.

He will light the path for you to follow and also give you the right ingredient to become a successful leader in your own rights that others will follow.

I bought his book at Singapore KinoKuniya. I also found his book on Amazon but (at time of writing this post) it is out of stock. If you are not local, you may perhaps want to get on Facebook to connect with him if you would like to buy his book. If you are local, just head down to Kinokuniya and purchase one yourself.

To learn how to succeed in network marketing singapore and choose the right network marketing to work with click here.

There are so many network marketing companies in Singapore. However, not all companies are build equal and not all products are the same. You may get tired of listening to network marketing or mlm companies selling super ninja drinks that claims that drink will help you to recover or have special benefit.

Different View

But if we look at business side of it, there are so many spa, slimming saloon and coffee shop around the island. Have you question yourself why? You may argue that coffee shops are there because they serve a need and that need is we human need something to eat, while spa and slimming saloons are there to service people who want to look younger and prettier.

But have you not think why most network marketing are in health and wellness industry and most of them have some form of healthy drink? If you do not know, I’ll tell you why. It is because, these companies know that there is a need in the health and wellness industry so they come in and fill the need. Likewise like spa and slimming saloon, if there is no need or not lucrative enough, will you think the owner will open chain store island wide. Will some small time operator open their business in your neighborhood?

As you probably now understand why most successful network marketing companies are in health and wellness industry, let’s us see how you can succeed in network marketing Singapore. There are many factors that will determine the success or failure in your network marketing career.

The followings are the factors that will greatly impact your success.

1) Teamwork – You must find a team that is committed to your success and that they will work as a team. Most of the team will say to you prior joining that they are working as a team. But I advise you to do your own homework first.

2) System – We are now in the internet era and thus, most of our prospect will be online. Therefore, it is important to find a team that has a system that will help you online. Without it, you are going to fight a uphill battle in your network marketing career.

3) Training – Training is what you need to learn the rope in this industry. Proper training will speed up your process but join a team that walk the talk.

4) Company – You need to find a company that is neither too young or too old. Why I say this? If you join a company that is too old, chances are a lot of people will have already know that company. If you join the company that is too young, you run the risk that company will shut down. So what is the ideal time? There is no ideal time but look to company that is on the rising trend.

5) Products – This is a very controversial topic. In my opinion, choose a product that is reasonably price and benefit people as well. You have to ask yourself, if I do not join the network marketing company, can this product still be consume by me? If the answer is yes, then you got yourself a winning product.

With that being said there are many network marketing companies in Singapore. If you are looking for one, you can kick start you search by clicking here.

Studies show that people trust top ranking site on Google because of its credibility. In this post, you will find the secrets of personal branding and examples.

This is a blog post reply to another post made by Moon Loh on personal online branding.

Studies show that people trust top ranking site on Google because of its credibility. On their website, it says,

According to Eszter Hargittai, associate professor of communication studies at the university, search engine rankings were seemingly “extremely important” to student’s perception of the reliability of web content, saying: ”What mattered is that it was the number one result on Google.” Source: Young people trust top ranking shows new study | Search Engine Marketing News

Also stated by Moon Loh in her blog post, “The online branding is important especially for a person who is running online home business.” I can’t stress enough that doing a personal online branding or just business branding online is paramount.

Why do online branding?

The reason behind it is simple. We are now living in a connected world and looking up information is fast and easy. If your name or business name is not going to be found on the internet, your potential customers will either be turn off or be dismay at how you are running the business. They will lose their trust on your business and turn to your competitor.

For example, if you are searching for a particular brand online, but you only know their tagline but can’t find it online, how will you feel? Frustrated? Dismay? Disappointed? Or starting to lose trust in that company that you come across?

Well, it may be a mixture of each of the elements stated above and below I’m going to show you some of my examples in regards to how I rank myself on Google using personal online branding marketing.

Secrets to Powerful Online Branding

First thing first, you must be clear of what you want to brand yourself or business with. This is not something that you can play around because once you put your name out on the internet, it will sticks forever till the internet dies. So, what you have to do is to think of a unique angle that stands out and relates to your business or your character.

In doing so, your prospect will more remember you more easily and relates to you more than your competitors.

In order to do a successful online branding that stick and grow in value over time, you must brainstorm and do a lot of research to settle one that you think is awesome for yourself and business. During this process, you may want to start thinking about logos, tagline that resonate or any theme color that you want.

The key here is to be congruent in all your branding. For example, if you decided to use tagline as your branding, then use that across all medium and platform to maximize it. Not only that you have to maintain a blog.

Blog Branding

People like to read blog. So to having a blog for your own personal branding can do wonders. Not only will your blog become the central hub of communicating, it will indirectly brand you as an authority in your niche. This is easily done by putting out valuable and useful content that your reader can pass the content around to their friends or use them after they have consume your content.

In order to stand out, you need to do it in such a way that, the each blog post feel personal to your readers. Depending on your brand marketing, you can also share some personal events with your readers on your blog too.

Be Persistent

Building a personal online brand takes time like other well known offline companies. You have to be persistent and see it through as the benefits is far more than cons. It will also open new network opportunities to you and your primary business.

There are many network marketing compensation plan out there. The most common ones are binary, matrix and hybrid. Most of the compensation plan are fair and the best compensation plan is in the eye of the beholder.

The reason why some network marketer find it hard to progress in a certain company attributed to many factors like, training, team support, products, company, trend and individual. However, after years of trying out many network marketing compensation plans, I had find out certain pay plan attract certain type of people and certain people will succeed more faster than others in different pay plan.

2 Types of Network Marketing Compensation Plan

If we look at the big picture, there are only 2 types of plan – Business and Products.

Why I say so?

Fundamentally, this came about in which pay plan the company adopts.

Product Pay Plan

Some of the pay plan requires you to find X number of customer or retails the products. These customer no need to become a distributor – just yet. Yet when they consume, the distributor accumulate volume.

This is good because, there is a constant flow volume monthly because consumer are consuming the products. The downside of this is, the distributor may need to find a lot of customer (depends on their company pay plan) to see substantial amount. In consumer perspective, it may also be difficult for them to just switch their favorite brand. So, it might be difficult but not impossible for a distributor to get X number of consumer.

However, in an ideal scenario, one may need both distributor and consumer to stay in business for a long time for such compensation plan to work in their favor.

Business Pay Plan

The other side of network marketing compensation plan is gear towards business building. This type of pay plan usually have lesser product. Some company works this plan well by pushing only their flag ship product. In this type of pay plan, volume is accumulate via like minded people aka those who want to build a business out of it. The distribution of products for most of the time is for personal consumption though sometimes it may be sold to others.

The plus point for this is that there are lesser product to learn which in turn leads to little or no confusion and the team can work together towards a common product or goal as the team are talking on the same topic.

However the downside of this type of pay plan is, one has to find like minded people or profit driven people who like to share and talk about business plan or opportunity which again, not many are comfortable doing so.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are no perfect or best network marketing compensation plan. So do your own due diligence before joining a network marketing company that have the compensation plan that suits your character.
